Countdown to Hosting the IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings 2026

Mr.Vinit Visessuvanapoom, Director-General of the Fiscal Policy Office, Ministry of Finance (FPO), and Ms. Chayawadee Chai-Anant, Assistant Governor of the Corporate Relations Group at the Bank of Thailand (BOT), jointly held a press conference titled “Countdown to Hosting the IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings 2026” at the Phattra Ruamjai Hall, 2nd Floor, Building 2, the Bank of Thailand. The event aimed to raise awareness about Thailand’s role as host for the meetings scheduled for October 12–18, 2026, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. Both speakers emphasized Thailand’s readiness and capability to host this major global event. In addition, the FPO and BOT are jointly promoting Thailand’s theme for the meetings: “Thailand’s New Horizons: Empowering People, Building Resilience”, which focuses on creating opportunities and enhancing people’s potential for a financial and economic system that is safe, inclusive, and sustainable, ultimately leading to an improved wellbeing for all citizens.
