On 3 October 2025, the Thailand 2050: Climate and Water Futures V conference was held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center as part of the Sustainability Expo 2025, hosted by the World Bank Thailand
On this occasion, Mr. Rit Syamananda, Deputy Director-General of the Fiscal Policy Office, delivered a keynote speech on “Building climate resilience and investing in the future” highlighting Thailand’s commitment to advancing the sustainability.
The event also marks an important step in preparing Thailand to host the World Bank Group–IMF Annual Meetings 2026, which will be underpinned by the theme "Thailand's New Horizons: Empowering People, Building Resilience" and the goal to support sustainable and people-centric economic growth.
