Thailand’s promotional booth at the IMF-WBG Annual Meeting 2025

✨ We are pleased to share highlights from Thailand’s promotional booth at the Headquarters of the IMF and World Bank Group in Washington, D.C., United States, held during the IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings 2025.
This event showcases Thailand’s readiness to host the Annual Meetings in 2026.

Under the theme “The Art of Thai Weaving” 🧺,
the booth presents exquisite local handicrafts that reflect Thai wisdom and community lifestyles. The exhibits feature handwoven products made from natural materials such as rattan, bamboo, sedge, bulrush, and niyalo fiber — each crafted with great care and artistry. These works not only highlight Thailand’s cultural heritage but also support sustainable livelihoods for local communities across the country. Visitors were also invited to try making simple pla tapian (woven fish) as part of an interactive activity.

On October 15, the event featured traditional Thai dance performances from the four regions of Thailand, accompanied by a video showcasing the country’s beautiful tourist destinations — giving participants from around the world a glimpse into Thailand’s rich cultural charm.

The day concluded in a joyful atmosphere, as attendees were invited to join a lively Loy Krathong circle dance celebration. 🌏
